Title: Entrance Fee CCRC Executive Director
Location: Berkeley, CA

You must have experience in working as the ED at an Entrance Fee CCRC to be the CCRC Executive Director at this full service, high-end, Not-for-profit community in the Bay area. As the CCRC Executive Director; your responsibilities will be to assume the day-to-day operations of the senior living community, Assisted Living, and the Skilled Nursing facility. Manage the profit and loss within all departments of this expansive CCRC campus. You will coordinate, plan, implement, monitor, direct and evaluate all aspects of the CCRC’s operations including supervision, support and coaching of all employees based in the senior living community.

Know and be able to explain the following:
  • Benefits of residing within a Community and lifestyle of a CCRC environment
  • History and management structure of the Community
  • Policies, services, amenities and procedures
  • Fee structure(s) and contract type(s), residency agreements, disclosure statements, offering plans, escrow agreements, current incentive programs and financial options; provide input/modifications/changes to programs and documents as needed
  • Types and availability of floor plans; standard design elements/equipment

As the CCRC Executive Director of this campus; you will meet the financial expectations, maintain high resident and family satisfaction within each department of the home. Your goal is to ensure the quality of the customer services provided to those senior residents living within the CCRC community. In addition, you will manage the community based on policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth by the experienced team of operators who manage and own senior assisted living and skilled nursing communities. The Executive Director is fully knowledgeable of all California State, and City regulations, federal regulations, guidelines, and reporting pertinent to the day-to-day operation of the Senior Assisted Living community and Skilled Nursing Facility.

Qualifications | CCRC Executive Director
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Administration, Gerontology or other course of study that relates to service to the elderly, preferred in order to be considered to run the assisted/independent living home.
  • MA in Gerontology is a plus 
  • 3-Years minimum as an Entrance Fee Executive Director
  • You must be able to demonstrate successful operations experience specific to CCRC senior living, assisted living, Alzheimer’s / Memory care and Skilled Nursing communities.
