The Opportunity | Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
We are searching for an ambitious Chief Financial Officer to join a long standing and thriving organisation with multi-site, multi-State, senior living locations. You will have the ability to head the financials as it relates to individual and multi-site outlays, payables and budgets, plus more. This key integrator will provide superb management as well as assess and implement systems ensuring operations run efficiently, to grow the financial strength of the organization effectively. This role reports directly to the C-Suite.
Job Responsibilities | Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
- Responsible for daily leadership and management of the company, ensuring operations and core values are adapted
- Implementation of processes and systems to drive the company to achieve and surpass business goals and objectives
- Responsible for generating reports based on the company’s statistics to reflect the effectiveness of all processes properly
- Develop, implement and communicate growth strategies efficiently
- Collaborate with the Managing Principals regarding all updates and changes to the operational infrastructure of systems, procedures, and personnel
- Represent the company as the Point of Contact for clients, investors, and business partners
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field- required
- Master’s degree in business, finance or related field- preferred
- At least five years in a senior management role; required
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis with previous experience overseeing multidisciplinary functions
- Proven record of excelling in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning
- Possess integrity, credibility, and commitment to upholding the company’s Core Values
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and guide investments in people and systems
- Preliminary budget preparation for all communities
- Monitoring of cash position of all communities
- Review all community petty cash reconciliation as needed, and transfer funds as approved
- Open new bank accounts for buildings in development (petty cash, main checking and payroll account)
- Reconciliation of general ledgers
- Prepare monthly journal entries
- Safeguard assets and assure accurate recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all divisions
- Manage the productivity for the entire accounting department
- Management of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, credits and collections, payroll, general & entity accounting
- Assure financial plans are consistent with organizational goals
- Interface with outside audit firms(s), banks and lessors, casualty/liability insurance agent(s), credit card companies, and collection agencies
- Provide a visionary and leadership role
- Understand the Development environment
Miscellaneous Projects
- Special projects or management reports as needed
- IT management if applicable
- Input on company software decisions
Education and Experience for the Senior Controller:
- Bachelor Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
- Master’s preferred
- Licensed CPA
- Five or more years of related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Assisted Living/healthcare accounting is a must
- Knowledge of liaising with third party investors, funds, REITS is a must
