About the Director of Media & Communications | Assisted Living Jobs Raleigh, North Carolina
Our client, a leading provider of assisted living communities in North Carolina is seeking a Director of Media and Communications located in their Corporate Office.
There will be significant focus on both traditional and digital media for all strategic communication channels, including public relations, branding and marketing on a corporate level as well as across multi-site locations of assisted living communities in North Carolina with more locations set for development.
This role oversees our clients brand and message across all channels of media, including the creation, development and deployment of branded collaterals and promotional materials, traditional and digital advertising, print and electronic newsletters, website content, blogs, social media, and integrated communication marketing campaigns.
The Director of Media and Communications drives success and measures ROI, paid search (PPC), (SEM), and branded search (SEO) campaigns. This position ensures timely delivery of all branded print production materials, including direct mail campaigns, negotiates favorable advertising rates and contracts, manages the media and communications budget, and oversees the work of a digital advertising firm, contract graphic designer, contract writers and contract web developer.
The Director of Media and Communications coordinates local media buy, directs targeted community mailing campaigns and supports the assisted living Marketing Directors promoting monthly marketing events at the company’s multi-site assisted living communities. The Director of Media and Communications leads the company’s multi annual signature events held at each community to raise money for local charities.
This position reports directly to the CEO and works closely with each locations Marketing Director, Executive Director, along with the Regional teams, Marketing and Operations.

- Experience in traditional and digital media required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in communications.
- Integrated digital marketing communications experience a plus.
- Managing media and communications for multi-location organizations is a strong plus.
- Project management and team management experience required.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Strong writing skills are essential to this position. Good oral and presentations skills needed.
- Experienced with CMS (WordPress), Adobe, PowerPoint, Excel required.
- Desktop publishing experience (Illustrator, Photoshop) needed.
- BA/BS required, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or English.
